VidBG Remover ("we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and your choices regarding their use.
We use essential cookies when they are necessary to provide, secure, and operate the website. Where required by applicable law, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.
Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and other tracking technologies. Throughout this policy, we refer to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies."
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, and accessibility. You cannot opt-out of these cookies.
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or third-party providers whose services we use.
Our privacy settings separate optional measurement into three purposes. Rejecting all three does not disable essential features.
If you separately allow Experience diagnostics and sign in, we send Clarity a pseudonymous account identifier and a random session identifier to help investigate interface problems and connect feedback to recordings. These identifiers and diagnostic events do not include your name, email, filenames, media URLs or task content. Signing in does not grant this optional consent. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not erase data already sent to Clarity.
Basic usage statistics use our self-hosted Plausible service to count page visits and a limited set of actions: upload failed, processing started or succeeded, download initiated, credit prompt viewed, and checkout requested or a checkout link received. Event properties are restricted to predefined processing modes, media types, download formats, entry points, failure stages and error categories. We group private or unknown page paths, send only the referrer origin, and retain only predefined source and medium tags; other query parameters and fragments are excluded. We do not send account or task IDs, filenames, uploaded media URLs or persistent visitor IDs in this layer, link it to accounts, or use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. Requests do not carry cookies. As with other web requests, the receiving infrastructure can see the IP address and User-Agent; cookieless measurement does not mean no data is processed. Basic and Product analytics are independent: declining Product analytics still allows these counts if Basic usage statistics is enabled. Declining Basic usage statistics stops them.
“Cookieless” does not mean no data is processed. Requests may expose technical information such as IP address and User-Agent to the receiving service.
The Google Analytics script may download before consent, but measurement remains disabled until Product analytics consent. OpenPanel and Clarity load only after their respective choices are allowed. Advertising scripts and choices follow a separate Google CMP flow.
We use Google AdSense to show ads to users who have not purchased a credit pack. Google manages advertising choices through its consent management platform (CMP) where required by applicable law. Depending on your CMP choices, Google may show personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads.
The following is a representative list of cookies we may use. Specific cookie names and purposes are subject to change as our service evolves:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| session-token | Authentication | 30 days | Essential |
| csrf-token | Security | Session | Essential |
| theme | UI preferences | 1 year | Functional |
| locale | Language preference | 1 year | Functional |
| cookie_consent | Stores basic, analytics and experience choices | Up to 180 days | Essential |
| utm_source | Traffic-source attribution after Product analytics consent | Up to 30 days | Analytics |
vid_attribution | Random visitor identifier after Product analytics consent | Up to 30 days, bounded by consent expiry | Analytics |
vid_erasure_*, vid_attribution_erasure | Necessary attribution-deletion proof, retry and completion controls | Up to 180 days from the deletion request | Essential |
| _ga, _gid | Google Analytics | 2 years / 24 hours | Analytics |
| _clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Up to 1 year / session | Experience |
| Google advertising cookies or local storage | Ad delivery, consent choices, measurement, and invalid-traffic detection | Varies by Google service and your choices | Advertising |
The existing utm_source cookie still stores source text. The separate vid_attribution cookie stores a random visitor identifier after Product analytics consent; the server stores its hash and can link permitted source context to registration and orders. It lasts up to 30 days from the first observation, bounded by consent expiry, without being renewed on each visit. Account and order attribution snapshots can remain for up to 90 days, also bounded by consent expiry. These identifiers are not anonymous when associated with an account. See our Privacy Policy for the data and retention details.
Turning off Product analytics clears the attribution identifier and browser context and requests deletion of optional server attribution. Deletion-control cookies or local storage may remain for up to 180 days from the request to complete or retry deletion; they are not used for analytics. Failed server deletion jobs may remain until completed. This does not delete financial orders, third-party messages or older backup copies.
We may use third-party services that set their own cookies, including:
These third parties have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

On your first visit, the banner can accept all three optional purposes, reject all three, or let you customize each purpose. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and unknown regions, Basic usage statistics starts off; elsewhere it starts on but remains rejectable. Product analytics and Experience diagnostics are off until you allow them. The cookie_consent choice is versioned and valid for up to 180 days. Older all or necessary values, malformed values and expired choices are treated as no choice and require a new selection.
Product analytics can link traffic sources and feature use with registration and orders. Earlier choices need a new selection in every region. You can use the product and pay without enabling analytics.
You can opt-out of specific types of cookies:
You can withdraw any optional choice through Cookie Settings. We first notify the active integrations to stop collection, clear accessible cookies for the categories you turn off, and refresh the page to unload third-party listeners and queues. Save unfinished work before saving a choice. Data already sent to a provider cannot be recalled, and browser security rules may prevent deletion of identifiers stored on another domain.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT signals, our website may not respond to all DNT signals automatically. You can still manage cookie preferences using your browser controls described above.
