Google sign-in is a user-requested authentication function, separate from optional statistics. Automatic Google One Tap is offered only in standard privacy regions when enabled and you are signed out; it is not started automatically in strict or unknown regions. The ordinary Google sign-in action remains available.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used include beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service.

Cookies or Browser Cookies: A cookie is a small file placed on Your Device. You can instruct Your browser to refuse all Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. However, if You do not accept Cookies, You may not be able to use some parts of Our Service.

Basic usage statistics measure aggregate service usage. They are off until consent in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and unknown regions; in other recognized regions they are on by default but remain rejectable. Google Analytics and OpenPanel require Product analytics consent worldwide, while Microsoft Clarity requires a separate Experience diagnostics choice worldwide. OpenPanel receives page views and explicit business funnel events without account identification, automatic outbound-link tracking, custom attributes or session replay. Rejecting these optional categories does not stop necessary task, payment or security records. See our Cookie Policy for the tools and choices.

If you separately allow Experience diagnostics and sign in, we send Clarity a pseudonymous account identifier and a random session identifier to help investigate interface problems and connect feedback to recordings. These identifiers and diagnostic events do not include your name, email, filenames, media URLs or task content. Signing in does not grant this optional consent. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not erase data already sent to Clarity.

Basic usage statistics use our self-hosted Plausible service to count page visits and a limited set of actions: upload failed, processing started or succeeded, download initiated, credit prompt viewed, and checkout requested or a checkout link received. Event properties are restricted to predefined processing modes, media types, download formats, entry points, failure stages and error categories. We group private or unknown page paths, send only the referrer origin, and retain only predefined source and medium tags; other query parameters and fragments are excluded. We do not send account or task IDs, filenames, uploaded media URLs or persistent visitor IDs in this layer, link it to accounts, or use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. Requests do not carry cookies. As with other web requests, the receiving infrastructure can see the IP address and User-Agent; cookieless measurement does not mean no data is processed. Basic and Product analytics are independent: declining Product analytics still allows these counts if Basic usage statistics is enabled. Declining Basic usage statistics stops them.

Video Data and Processing

Video Upload and Processing

When using our AI video background removal features, You may upload videos. You must only upload videos that you own or are authorized to use, including explicit permission from any identifiable person where required by law. These videos are used solely to provide the requested Service outputs.

Data Handling

Uploaded videos are temporarily stored on our servers for processing
Free uploads and their generated files have a 24-hour availability period. Uploads made after purchasing a credit pack have a 7-day availability period; downloads and exports expire with the task.
Task records remain in your history and our support records after the video files expire. Expiration removes access to the media, not the task record. You can delete a task; account deletion is handled as described below.
Storage lifecycle periods are measured from when each file is stored. Physical deletion is asynchronous and typically completes within 24 hours after that file’s retention period ends. Existing tasks keep their original expiration time; purchasing credits does not extend an existing task.
In some cases, the videos may be shared with trusted third-party AI rendering providers who are contractually bound to process the data only for the requested Service output and not to retain or misuse it

By using the upload feature, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the videos and consent to this limited and temporary processing.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our Service: including monitoring the usage of our Service.
To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
To provide You with news, special offers, and general information: about other goods, services, and events that we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about, unless You have opted not to receive such information.
To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, as well as evaluating and improving our Service, products, services, marketing, and your overall experience.

We do not use your uploaded videos or generated outputs for advertising, marketing, public examples, or promotional purposes unless you separately give us explicit permission.

We use Google AdSense to fund the free version of the Service. Google may process information such as your IP address, browser or device information, the page you visit, and your consent choices to deliver, measure, secure, and prevent invalid traffic in ads. Where required, Google presents its own consent management message. Depending on your choices, Google may show personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads. Limited ads do not use personal data for personalization, but programmatic limited ads may use cookies or local storage solely to detect invalid traffic.

Signed-in users who have purchased any credit pack receive an ad-free experience, and we do not load AdSense ads for them. See our Cookie Policy for details and available controls.

The site's statistics choices are separate from Google's advertising consent message. Rejecting optional site statistics does not by itself change that advertising flow.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or when We are legally obligated to retain it for longer time periods.

The cookie_consent preference stores the three optional choices, a policy version and the time of choice for up to 180 days. A utm_source attribution cookie is stored for up to 30 days only after Product analytics consent. See our Cookie Policy for withdrawal and cookie-clearing details.

Product analytics can link traffic sources and feature use with registration and orders. Earlier choices need a new selection in every region. You can use the product and pay without enabling analytics.

With Product analytics consent, we also use our own conversion attribution to understand which traffic sources and features lead to registration and orders. The existing utm_source cookie remains unchanged. A separate vid_attribution cookie holds a random visitor identifier, not the source text. It is created only after consent. Our server stores its hash and may associate permitted source and medium values, public-page and referrer context, feature use and checkout context with your account, registration and orders. Checkout country comes from the hosting provider's country code. This data can be linked to an account and is not anonymous.

The visitor cookie and source context last up to 30 days from the first observation after consent. Account, registration and order attribution snapshots last up to 90 days from their creation. Both periods are bounded by the original consent's expiry; visits do not extend them. Expired snapshots are excluded from analysis, with physical removal handled by periodic cleanup.

Turning off Product analytics in Cookie Settings stops new attribution, clears its browser identifier and context, and requests deletion of associated attribution from our database. Browser deletion controls may remain for up to 180 days from the browser request; server deletion controls and completed receipts may remain for up to 180 days from server acceptance; failed, unfinished deletion jobs remain until completed. Deletion may require retries. This removes optional attribution, not financial orders, payment records or messages already held by third parties. Clearing the live database does not immediately remove earlier backup copies, which follow their own retention periods.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.

You can delete your account in Settings → Profile. Before confirming, download any files you want to keep. Deletion is permanent: it removes your account, task history, remaining credits and associated records from our application database, and revokes your login sessions. Administrators can also delete an account on your behalf. If an account owns site articles or categories, that content must be transferred or removed first. The last administrator must appoint another administrator before deleting their account.

Uploaded and generated files remain subject to the retention and asynchronous cleanup periods described above. Account deletion does not immediately erase these files or cancel work already running with external processing providers. Download links already issued may continue to work until they expire.

To prevent repeated claims of welcome credits, we retain an email-derived fingerprint after account deletion. The deletion registry contains this fingerprint, not your original email address or task history. It can still be matched to the same email and is not anonymous data. We use it only to enforce the one-time welcome-credit rule and retain it while that rule remains in operation. Registering again with the same email will not grant first-login bonus credits.

You can contact support@vidbgremover.com to request help with deletion, access or correction, or to ask us to review retention of your information, including the email fingerprint. Account deletion does not itself remove records held independently by payment or other external service providers; their retention practices are described in their own privacy policies.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

You are responsible for ensuring the security of the credentials You use to access the Service.

Third-Party AI Processors

To provide AI-driven video processing, we may use specialized AI model, cloud infrastructure, or rendering providers as service providers or subprocessors.

Categories of Processors

Depending on the feature you use, your uploaded videos and processing preferences may be processed by third-party AI model providers, cloud hosting providers, storage providers, or rendering infrastructure providers.

We only share the minimum necessary information required for video processing, specifically: user-provided videos and processing preferences.

Data Minimization & Anonymization

We do not share sensitive personal identifiers, such as your account ID, email address, or real name, with these third-party AI processors unless necessary to provide or secure the Service. Video data transmitted for AI processing is de-identified where technically feasible to protect your privacy.

These providers are authorized to process User Content only for the purpose of providing the requested processing, infrastructure, security, or support services to VidBG Remover.

Content Restrictions

To maintain a safe, ethical, and responsible platform, we have established the following content restrictions for all users of our Service. These restrictions apply to any content uploaded, processed, or shared on our platform.

Prohibited Content
